Lovely mildly strenuous hike of a little over 3 miles each way to shady grove with 126-foot waterfall into a sand-bottom pool. VERY cold water! Great vistas, changes from sun to shade and back, diverse terrain and rock formations.
3 mile hike each way, but totally worth it! You can swim all the way up to the 125 foot waterfall, but the water is chilly! Make sure to bring a camera, and plenty of water! There are 14 points along the way that you can stop and read about the historical significance of the area! Make sure to grab a brochure so you can follow along! There are several places you can fish the stream on the way up if you're interested
One of the best moderate hikes in the state. Scenery is great the whole time and the falls at the end are a great payoff. We went on a clear day in March and had the trail and the falls to ourselves!
Went early September around 2pm. It was about 105 degrees outside. Easy 3 mile hike each way, only the heat made it difficult. Expect to take about 2 hours to hike one-way and you'll probably spend at least an hour at the waterfall. The waterfall was beautiful and flowing. Water was chilly but still enjoyable for a swim. Bring a flash light if you plan on starting this hike mid afternoon as you'll probably be hiking back in the dark.
A wonderful , slightly strenuous hike but can be very hot. Also weather can change quickly. Well worth it for the falls.
