A must go for older kids and adults! Not for little kids. It is a 6 miles round trip and 5 hrs hike. The hike it's not steep and it is mostly a sand and a few loose gravel parts. The end is beautiful. Any time of the year.
The 126 ft water fall at the end is a wonderful oasis. There is a pool that is great for wading and a little swimming. Great example of a micro-climate with flowers and plants clinging to the cliff wall, sustained by the mist from the falls.
Get there early ish to get a parking spot. 6 miles isn't long and it's shaded mostly. When you get close to the falls you might even be cold. The view, amazing.

This review is for the Lower Falls. It is a 6.2 miles round trip hike. Plan on half a day, especially if you plan to enjoy a little time at the waterfall. It is a well maintained trail that is easy to follow. There is one short climb with a couple of cairns about a half mile in. Take lots of water and some snacks, it will take you a while.
Love Calf Creek Falls, when lived near here I brought everyone here. Short, easy hike to an amazing oasis in the desert with a giant waterfall.
