The teepee was awesome!!

Way, way off the beaten track and absolutely worth a visit for two or three days. We used the Guesthouse mainly for overnighting between trips out to Bryce Canyon and so didn't explore the local trails, but I suspect they are wonderful. The highlights of our stay were several creative and delicious meals - far better than expected - and hanging around the fireplace afterwards trading stories of the day and, sorry to say, checking our phones (btw WiFi was pretty good but not great). Highly recommended overall.

Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch is incredible! It may not be for everyone, but it is definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Talk to the staff--- They are always kind and insightful, the food is excellent, and it's the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of the escalate/grand staircase area. There are many many exquisite hikes and drives all around, BMGR is the perfect place to begin your adventures!!

During our stay in June 2017 there was an awful heatwave with temps in the 100s. Our room did not have air so we were bummed. They did have ceiling fans though which helped a little. We stayed 2 nights. We were told the chef at the onsite restaurant was ill and the kitchen would be closed the 2nd day. The kitchen is run separately from the hotel portion. And the horse riding outfit is also separately owned & ran. So different people to contact for each. They have culligan water dispensers in the rooms and ours ran out the 2nd morning before ranch staff was around so we found some of the restaurant staff who got us and others some water refills. Thanks to them for being helpful. This was too rustic for us and we won't return. I'm sure there are others who'd like this though!

Loved everything about this place and cant wait to come back. The food, the staff, the accommodations were all outstanding. We visited in May 2013.
